A Lot Changes in 8 Years . . .

But a lot remains the same! Reboots of movies, and t.v. shows seem to be fairly common these days so I thought I would attempt to bring back the No Worries blog. I am going to stick with the retro look for now as not to confuse any remaining loyal followers! (We look a bit different now!) LOL Where to start . . .

Let's go with what has remained the same:

Nigel is still in school, has a very artistic touch, and enjoys making music.
Nora is still in school, enjoys the Olympics, and is still competing in cross country.
Robin is still awesome, working as a proof reader for the legal newspaper, and is really involved at Eureka Christian Church.
I am still working at Eureka College, and love running.

What has changed:

Nigel has turned in his Hornet green of Eureka High School for the Maroon & Gold of Eureka College. He is in his freshman year and is majoring in Elementary Education. He is still very artistic and has picked up playing the guitar and saxophone. In addition to his musical talents he has dipped his toe into acting and improv, and has joined the Red Devil XC & Distance team.

Nora really liked the color green. She exchanged Hornet green for Illinois Wesleyan University green. She is currently in her junior year and majoring in Psychology (it's not that simple). She is very involved on campus. She is on the XC and Track team, VP of SAAC (student-athlete advisory committee), running for VP of Student Senate, works as a Titan Ambassador, and is on the Peace Garden Executive Board. She also has a Liam in her life. He's pretty cool (he's the tall one).

Robin had the biggest change to date by any of  us. She is a dog person! Oh, and Robin is now the Rev. Robin Robinson, or Rev Rob Rob, as I like to call her. I could fill the internet with her accomplishments over the last 8 years, but I am going to quote Nigel from just this morning. "Mom, thank you for raising Nora and I to be reasonable people." What more could you want?

I decided to make running my living. In Dec of 2019 I was offered the opportunity to relaunch the dormant XC program at Eureka College. I accepted, moved full time to the Athletic Department of EC, and am now the Head Women's and Men's XC & Distance Coach.

As you can see while much has stayed the same, there have been some pretty significant changes in the Lives and Times of the Robinson Family. There should be enough content here for a blog post or two!

Cheers
